I ended up taking the Crazy Heart illustration in a different direction. I used pen and ink on waxed paper to make really rough, messy linework. This was then scanned and painted in Adobe Photoshop to give the final results.

Cubism Experiments

Working from a reference of a cargo lantern ( http://www.bobsvarietystore.com/ ) I played around with some cubist techniques.

These are very rough, their purpose is to help me prepare for an upcoming illustration project.
